R404a refrigerant is designed to meet the requirements of many new and existing refrigeration systems. With zero ozone depletion potential, R404a is a near-azeotropic HFC refrigerant blend classified as A1 (lowest toxicity and non-flammability level) by ASHRAE.
Applications
R404a refrigerant is widely used in various applications such as industrial refrigeration systems, supermarket refrigerators, and cold storage facilities. It is also commonly used in cold chain applications. R404a is non-flammable. This refrigerant, which is widely preferred in commercial refrigeration units found in supermarkets, is gradually being replaced by new-generation refrigerants in order to reduce environmental impact. These new-generation refrigerants, used to minimize environmental harm, may have flammable properties.
Is R404a a Blend or a Pure Gas?
R404a is a blended refrigerant and does not belong to the group of pure gases. This refrigerant consists of a mixture of 44% R125, 52% R143a, and 4% R134a. Since R404a is a blended gas, it must always be transferred into the system in liquid form to prevent fractionation of the mixture.
Storage Methods
Our company supplies R404a refrigerant in various storage formats. This gas is available in 12-liter cylinders (Net 10 KG), 61-liter cylinders (Net 45 KG), 1000-liter tanks (Net 750 KG), and 22,000-liter tanks (19,500 KG). For 12-liter cylinders, we offer both dip tube and non-dip tube options. In cylinders without a dip tube, the cylinder must be inverted when charging liquid R404a into the system. In cylinders with a dip tube, liquid charging can be carried out while the cylinder is in an upright position. The directional markings on dip tube cylinders should be carefully checked before use.
